Toni Shelaske

Toni Shelaske, a seasoned leader in the independent pet industry, is known for her expertise in natural pet nutrition, retail innovation, and industry advocacy. As the owner of Healthy Pet Products Florida and a board member of IndiePet, she champions the success of independent retailers and pushes for higher standards across the pet sector.

For nearly two decades, Toni owned and operated Healthy Pet Products stores in Pittsburgh, where she built a trusted reputation for advancing the raw food movement and educating pet parents on holistic pet care. 
Toni also hosts Toni Unleashed, a popular pet industry podcast with over 100 episodes. This light‑hearted podcast addresses the truth about the pet food industry with anecdotal and scientific evidence.  

In addition to her work with IndiePet, Toni serves on the advisory board of the Izzie Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting pet owners in need, and is the founder of Yinzer Dog, a Pittsburgh-themed pet brand that celebrates local pride through thoughtfully designed toys and products.
